The following obituary for Claud Allen Mullins appeared this morning in the "Athens Review," Athens, Henderson Co., TX. Although Claud and I never actually met, we found each other through our genealogy research. We exchanged many e-mails over the past several years and talked many times on the phone - he was not only my 4th cousin, but I considered him a very dear friend and I shall miss him and his always enlightening e-mails very much. I'm sure there are many of the Owens folk who subscribe to this board who have corresponded with Claud will feel sad as I at losing him. He has been a great help to many of us researching our Rockcastle County heritage.
