>From Richmond, Indiana "Pal-Item" Fred E. Fortner, 74, of Richmond, died Monday, April 4, 2005, at Reid Hospital (Richmond). The Air Force veteran was born Dec. 6, 1930, in Rockcastle County, Ky., the son of John and Lucy Mullins Fortner. He was a painter for Porfidio Painting. Survivors include his wife, Beulah Kallebs Fortner; mother, Lucy Williams; and sister, Susan Cannon. Private graveside service will be Thursday at Goshen Cemetery. There will be no public calling. Doan & Mills Funeral Home, Richmond, is handling arrangements.
