    3. Yup, one amazing find, thanks to my "Christmas Gift" of Ancestry.com census data. I found two interesting facts on my ex-father-in-law ~ now deceased. 1. I found that my ex-father-law was born 6 years before the family thought he was. His social security records, headstone, death certificate and the entire family said he was born in 1914. I found him on the 1910 census, and he was a 1 1/2 years old. hmmm-m-m-m-m-m 2. I also found him on the 1930 census, 21 years old, living at home and divorced! I found my ex-mother-in-law in the exact opposite side of the state, living at home and 9 years old. So he wasn't married or divorced from her! According to the family, they met when the family picked him up hitch-hiking and they were married soon afterwards. They married when she was 18 years old. How's that for a Christmas Gift???? Or even an amazing find? I told my son this is why I love genealogy!! Happy New Year everyone! . . . . . and yes, he was born in Rockcastle County ~ Mt. Vernon. William Bowman, born to Charles Jackson Bowman and Clevia Frankie Hiatt. Charles died in 1911, so William could NOT have been born in 1914 ~ right????
