Hi, everyone! New subscriber to the list. Looking for any information on the ANDREW K. KING family, wife JULIA A. Andrew was born in NC around 1826-27 (no location known); Julia born approx. 1822-23. I have seen sources say she was born in NC and KY. This family is listed in the 1880 census, living in the North District of the county; some children listed are (going by memory): Lucius, Elijah, William, Wilson. No girls listed on this census but I know from my g-pa that there was Mary (his g-ma), Mollie and Elnor <sp>. Mary married a man named Joe TILFREY, supposedly a Cherokee Indian. Most of the TILFREY family are buried in Crab Orchard Cemetary. Am trying to find date of death for Andrew and Julia plus a burial location. Any thoughts on where I might go? How far back are the records in Mt. Vernon? Can I obtain birth/death/marriage info there? Thanks in advance for your help. mel

Hello Mel, I found this for you in my Rockcastle County, Kentucky Cemetery Book: Double stone - KING A. J. King 08 Sep 1822 - 23 Apr 1904 Julia A. King 08 Oct 1827 - 29 Apr 1904 Also found this: Sarah E. King d/A.J. & J.A. King There is also a Kezziah King 15 Oct 1796 - 06 Oct 1878 These folks are buried at the Roberts-King-Walling Cemetery, Lincoln/Rockcastle County, Kentucky Directions: Start at Rockcastle County - Lincoln County line on Route #150, go northwest on #150 .1 mile to gravel road on right, turn right, go 300' to fenced cemetery on left. Cemetery is in Lincoln County. There are several other people named King buried here.
