>From Richmond, Indiana "Pal-Item" RICHMOND, Ind. -- Beatrice Allen Powell, age 91, of Richmond, went to join her beloved husband, William B. Powell, in heaven on Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007. She was born on Aug. 22, 1915, in Mount Vernon, Ky., and raised by her special grandparents, Albert and Elizabeth Allen. Beatrice was a resident of Richmond since 1951. Grandson Randy E. Powell and wife Kathryn M. (Risch) Powell lived with Beatrice for the past six years. Beatrice was cared for by grandson Randy E. Powell and wife, along with great-granddaughter, Patricia Lynn Lewis, and caregiver, Clara Mae Johnson. The family of Beatrice Powell wishes to extend their gratitude to the Covenant Hospice Caregivers and Dr. DeSantis for all their loving care during the family's time of loss. Survivors include her daughters, Elizabeth Owens of Richmond and Virginia Powell Blaine of Palmer, Alaska; sons, Albert Earl Powell and his wife Jean of Corsicana, Texas, and Clinton Edward Powell and his wife Sandy of Greenfield, Ind.; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Berry Powell, who died on March 26, 2001. Funeral service for Beatrice A. Powell will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road W., Richmond, with Chaplain Mark Hinshaw officiating. Burial will be at Goshen Cemetery.
