    3. 2-12-2007: From Richmond, Indiana "Pal-Item" EATON, Ohio -- Daisy Mae McGuire, age 86, formerly of Richmond, died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007, at Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon, Ohio. She was born Dec. 11, 1920, in Rock Castle County, Ky., to David and Mollie Weaver Gray and lived in Richmond for 35 years. Daisy retired as an inspector from Avco in 1972 after 28 years. She was an early member and very active at Fairview Baptist Church in Richmond, having served as a Sunday school teacher and helped start other local Baptist churches; member at West Side Baptist Church in New Port Ritchie, Fla.; and a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Eaton, Ohio. Daisy and Archie lived in New Port Ritchie, Fla., from 1972 until they moved to Eaton, Ohio, in 1993. Daisy enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband of 70 years, Archie G. McGuire, to whom she was married Nov. 21, 1936; two sons, Don McGuire and his wife Karen of Fredericktown, Ohio, and Kenneth McGuire of Eaton, Ohio; one grandson, Dean McGuire and his wife Joellen of Ohio; two granddaughters, Cheryl Cheatham and her husband Mike of Ohio and Teresa Caruso and her husband Nick of Ohio; five great-granddaughters; two great-grandsons; brothers, Alfred Gray and his wife Hattie of Hamilton, Ohio, and Dan Gray and his wife Christine of Florida; nieces; nephews, including a very special nephew, Lin Gray and his wife Mildred of Eaton, Ohio; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Woodson, Bryan, Sollie and Lee; and five sisters, Rose, Lucy, Gertrude, Ida and Lillie. Funeral service for Daisy Mae McGuire will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2007, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road W., Richmond, with Pastor Brian Underwood of Memorial Baptist Church of Eaton, Ohio, officiating. Burial will be at Earlham Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, at the funeral home. Memorial gifts may be made to: Memorial Baptist Church, 1307 E. Main Street, Eaton, OH 45320

Descendents of John Allen b. ca 1770 d. 1841 in Scott County Virgina and his wives Eleanor ? & Esther Jane Neal are invited to attend a Reunion that will be held in July 13 & 14 in Scott County VA at the Natural Tunnel State Park. Descendents of John and Esther Jane that migrated to Rockcaslte County were his son John G. Allen who married Peggy Campbell and grandson Samuel Neal Allen who married Senie Large. Some children of their Daughter Elizabeth Allen who married Benjamin Franklin Treadway also lived in Rockcastle for a while. John & Peggy's childre were: Owen Allen who married Julia Williams James Albert Allen who married Elizabeth Chestnut Hezekiah Peter " Carr " Allen who married Martha Ash Willis Allen who married 1st Mary Sally Cummins and 2nd Mary Susan Singleton Wyatt Allen who married Eunice Ann Gibson Griffin and 2nd to Julia Cain Calvin Alexander Allen who married 1st Mary McCracken, 2nd Louisa McCormick and 3rd to Ibby McClure. Children of Samuel Allen and Senie Large were: Benjamin Harrison Allen who married Cassie Anglin William McClelland Allen AKA " Jack " who married Susie Ball, 2nd Carrie Falin Sylvester Taylor Allen who married Della Reams Albert Hayes Allen who married Dovie Leger Elbert D.
