Does anyone have information on this McKee family from Rockcastle County? I found this in the 1870 census: McKee William age 22 b. KY, Adalade age 21 b. MO, Bettie age 66 b. KY (probably Wm's mother or grandmother), Joseph age 1 b. KY, and Louisa age 3/12 b. KY. This is the only time I find this family. I'm trying to see if there is a connection with this Joseph McKee in 1870 and Joseph Maxie in 1920 in Clay County. Joseph Maxie's death certificate says he was born in Rockcastle Co. around 1870. I know this is a stretch but you know how people changed the spelling of names back then. Both of these families are brick walls. That is why I thought they might have a connection.
