All but one of the e-mails I sent to the 2nd marriage researchers bounced. I haven't heard from that one person yet. I looked at the "World Book" but didn't find a county or city in KY named "Goochland." Am I missing something? I do see a Goochland city and county in VA. Crystal, Haven't worked much on that family although they are there in the same time frame as my own family and have done some work on the edges. The only Poteet in the 1820 Rockcastle Co. Census is Guy Poteet. One would assume that he probably is the father of Charles who was born ca 1822. (Charles and family are in the 1870 Agency Twp., Osage Co. Kansas Census). However the Guy Poteet family as shown in 1820 confuses me just a little bit. Looks to me like the wife may be to old to be having children, so it could be that one of the girls is the mother? Males 0-10 1, 10-16 3, 26-45 1 Females 0-10 1, 16-26 2, 45+ 1 Guess it is possible that his wife died, the older lady is a relative, and he remarries before Charles is born? Wild Guess Any Comments?
