Hello, This is the first message to this list and since there have been no messages since signing on there is no way to know what might be presently happening on the list. Should this message be out of the main topic flow please excuse the intrusion? William West married Anne Roberts in Pulaski County, Kentucky on January 5, 1811. Her father of that record was James Roberts. A will for Pulaski County, Kentucky shows a James Roberts in 1829 with wife Martha. William and Anne West departed Kentucky with their family and arrived in Johnson County, Missouri in time for the 1840 census. In 1850 a few of the younger children were in the home and a widowed daughter with children. By 1860 Anne had died and the final probate for William is dated 1868. One of his sons named Samuel West fought in the Missouri home guard. He is buried with a military headstone in Warrensburg, MO. Another son Barksdale West is buried in the Bethel Cemetery in Johnson County, Missouri. I am interested in the family in Kentucky as I have traced them during their lives here in Missouri.
