Hello family & friends, This is Bob Burton's wife, Debbie. I do not know the ones of you that Bob has been conversing with, via e-mail, on a regular basis so I decided to play it safe and send to most of you in his address book. Bob has been absent from the internet because he suffered a heart attack Tuesday evening at 6:00pm. He was planning on taking a small business trip early Wednesday morning. He was rushing around trying to get some things done Tuesday evening when he experienced chest pains. Luckily, the heart attack didn't do any damage to his heart muscle. A heart catheterization was done Wednesday and revealed a 90% blockage (don't know yet if the blockage was a blood clot or plaque) to one of his vessels. The cardiologist said that this blockage has only affected 5-7% of his heart. The cardiologist first attempted to treat the blockage with blood thinners and other medications, but Bob didn't respond well to medications and suffered another heart attack Wednesday night. He's in a Cardiac Care unit and was treated immediately. The cardiologist has decided now to do angioplasty in the morning at 10:00 am. He was hoping he wouldn't have to resort to the angioplasty because this blockage is located at the bottom of an area where 3 other vessels branch off of it. The cardiologist is concerned because there is a risk of 2 of the 3 vessels collapsing when doing this balloon type procedure. Bob and I would greatly appreciate your prayers during this time. I cannot retrieve Bob's e-mail and I don't want to bother him for the password.
