JUST POSTING THE OBITUARY ON WILLIAM RICHARDSON FROM THE MIDDLETOWN (OH) JOURNAL 1/19/08 William David "Bill" Richardson, age 93, formerly of Jacksonburg Rd., Middletown, OH passed away after an extended illness on January 17, 2008 at the Garden Manor Retirement Village. He was born July 26, 1914 in Clay City, KY and lived in Ohio for 62 years. He served in the U. S. Army during W.W. II, receiving a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. He was employed in the polishing room at Armco Steel Corporation, retiring in 1976 after 34 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion Post 218, the V. F. W. Miami Valley Post 3809, and was active in the Middletown Senior Citizens. He was a wonderful gardener, sharing his vegetables and flowers with his neighbors. He enjoyed bowling, playing cards, hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by parents: Rueben Jesse and Nellie (Tipton) Richardson; wife: Clara Richardson in 2005; 2 sisters: Lizzie and Frances; 5 brothers: Levi, John Dillard, George, Harry and Allen. He is survived by 4 children: Sandra Wendt, husband Joh! n, Ledger, MT, Donna Hayes, husband Paul, Jacksonburg, OH, John Richardson, wife Rosemary, Trenton, OH, Russell Richardson, wife Christy, Cincinnati, OH; 10 grandchildren: Johnny, David, Lori, Shana, Mindy, Nicole, Brett, Rebecca, Amber and Jason; 11 great-grandchildren: Jake, Seth, Zane, Luke, Zachary, Owen, Austin, Carson, Payton, Ryan, and Rory; 1 brother: Charles Richardson, wife Ruth, Jacksonburg, OH; 1 sister: Janice "Junie" Cole, Cincinnati, OH. Visitation will be January 21, 2008 from 12 Noon to 1:00 p.m. at the Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown. Memorial Services will be January 21, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Stephen Weatherly officiating. Entombment will be at Butler County Memorial Park Mausoleum, Trenton, OH with military services by the Middletown Honor Guard.
