JUST POSTING THE OBITUARY ON CHARLES JONES FROM THE MIDDLETOWN (OH) JOURNAL 3/3/08 Charles "Eddie" Jones, Age 82 of Middletown, OH passed away on March 1, 2008 at the Garden Manor Extended Care Center. He was born on February 22, 1926 in Slade, Powell County, KY. Eddie was retired from Armco and enjoyed working on autos and auto transmissions. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Jean Jones and a son Mark Jones. Eddie is survived by three daughters, Cathy (Marty) Fry of Centerville, OH, Brenda (Rick) Ferguson and Barbara (James) Henry both of Middletown, OH. He has six grandchildren, Kevin Fry, Lori Rouse, Michael Henry, Brandon Blevins, Travis Henry and Matthew Henry. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren as well as two brothers, Kendall Jones and Levaughn (Dude) Jones. Charles "Eddie" Jones was a WW II Army veteran who fought in The Battle of the Bulge. He received numerous decorations including The Purple Heart, Two Bronze Stars, Combat Infantry Badge and The Belgium Fouragere. He was a member of the Franklin Masonic Lodge, where he! earned his 32 degree, a member of the Shriners and VFW and was also a lifetime member of The Military Order of the Purple Heart. Visitation will be held on March 4, 2008 from 5-8:00 p.m. at the Baker-Stevens Funeral Home with Masonic Services at 7:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life Service will be on March 5, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Everett J. Crockett officiating. Military rites will be performed at the graveside by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard. Interment will be in the Woodside Cemetery.
