Juanita Combs, 91 Juanita Combs, 5320 Hwy. 715, Zachariah, widow of Walter Day Combs, died Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2007 at her home. She was born Oct. 23, 1915 in Wolfe County, a daughter of the late Edward Cable and Dora Stamper. She was a homemaker and a member of the Torrent First Church of God. She was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Paul Willis; a step-son, Harold Combs; three grandchildren; and four brothers. She is survived by her children, Ada Marie Willis (Paul, deceased) and Rondell W. Combs (Carolyn), both of Beattyville, Betty Jean Bush (Sherrill) of Zachariah, and Bonita F. Whisman (Elmer R.) and Mary Kathryn Combs Creech (David), both of Stanton; step-children, widow of Harold Combs (Billie) and Anna Lee Combs Goff (Benny), both of Middletown, Ohio, and Margie Combs Tibbs (Kenneth) of Brookville, Ind.; nine grandchildren; three brothers; three sisters; and many great and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 31, 2007 at 1 p.m. at Torrent First Church of God by Rev. James W. Clark and Pastor David Booth with burial at Cable/Bowman Cemetery, Wolfe County. Pallbearers were her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers were her brothers and sisters. Newnam Funeral Home Inc. was in charge of arrangements. Donations are suggested to ARH Hospice, West Liberty, Ky.
