Alva, Kyle as he was called, was a great nephew of Nancy Gildersleeve, who died in Nebraska, The great grandson of Theophilus and Lavina (Wilcox) Phillips of Greene County, Pa. and the great grandson of Jacob and Jane Katherine Hazel originally from Indiana and the grandson of John Wesley Hall originally from Powell County, Ky.
