Born in Powell County, KY, she was the daughter of Joe and Gracie (Patrick) Hardy. Dolly worked at several different laundries in the Middletown area before becoming disabled in 1968. She was a member of the Church at Mayfield. She was preceded in death by her husband of more than 55 years, Henry "Jack" Gourley in 1998; brothers Sherill Hardy and Clell Charles and a sister Edith Campbell. Dolly is survived by a son Joe (Carol) Gourley of Monroe, OH; step-daughter Lillian (Harry) Burchfield of Maryville, TN; six grandchildren Karen Gourley, Peggy (Don) Long, Danny (Millie) Gourley, Donnie (Kelly) Gourley, Ronnie Garrett, and Tommy Garrett; 8 great-grandchildren; 15 great great-grandchildren; brother Otis Hardy; sisters Alice Crowe, Ruth Crowe, Lola Patrick, Glendora Walker and Beulah Yates. A visitation and Celebration of Life Service were held Saturday, April 28, 2007 at Kyker Funeral Home in Swe! etwater, TN. Interment is in the Westview Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Arthritis Foundation, 7811 Laurel Ave., Madeira, OH 45140 or to Hospice Care of Middletown, 1131 Manchester Ave., Middletown, OH 45042.
