Hi everyone, Just got this. This applies to all the posting forums (queries, wills, bios, deeds, pensions, bible records, & obits). Jen -----Original Message----- Subject: *** Important GenConnect Announcement *** GenConnect will be down for a bit on Saturday night and Sunday morning, January 16 and 17, 1999, while it is being moved to a new box (bigger and faster). No "official" announcement will be made when it is back up. That will be obvious when the pages are once again available through a web browser. Yours, The GenConnect Team

Hi everyone, Had a bit of trouble on this end and lost alot of the files I was working on as well as my mail. Consequently, I lost things people had submitted for the pages and the files for the pages themselves. If you sent me anything to add or any mail I haven't answered, please resend. Thanks so much! Hello, I have a question about Ashleys burial place. Could it be the Stanton Cemetery in Powell County. There is a large Stanton Cemetery down in town. ( Please don't take offense! I have worked long enough to know how little things can be turned around) They are in the process of making a new directory of all the cemeteries in Powell County. The man who has headed it up is in the Red River Historical Society. He says it is finished. Just needs to get it out. There are also 13 vol. of Powell County Court Records for sale by the RRHS P. O. Box. 195, Clay City, Ky. and some bank records to be published soon. You may find your family there. DO you know Louise Ashley? She works in the Judge's office in Powell County Courthouse. I worked across the hall from her for years. Diane Rogers If you are interested, I can check indexes for you up in Jan or Feb. I am staying most of the time in Irvine (playing nurse-- putting drops in my aunts eye 3-4 times a day) But should be home up in Jan.
