I'm searching for information regarding my grandmother who 'may' have lived in Hurricane for some period of time between 1930-1939. Margaret E Bannon was listed correctly in Bowling Green KY on 1930 census, then disappears from view until correctly showing on the 1940 census in Illinois. the 1940 census indicates she lived in "Hurricane, HART, Ky" in 1935. I find nothing for a Hurricane in Hart county, but in Pike county. Seems unlikely she would have moved to Pike cty by herself at 65 yo, not having (known) connections in that area. Any suggestions for trying to identify her in the very small community of Hurricane, Pike cty?  Any information on the community of Hurricane, Pike, farming, mining, health facilities etc in 1935?
