    3. Hi Jean, It has been a long time. Here is what little help I can add to your questions on these people. John E. Walters and Louisana Hurt married in Pike County on 1-9-1867. John's parents was Zachariah Walters born abt. 1805 and Margaret Owens born abt. 1810 both in Virginia, they married in Pike County on 1-3-1825. Info from Pike Co. census and marriage records. 3. Hello Jonah! Nice to hear from you; thanks for the info. I thought the parents were Zachariah and Margaret, but wasn't sure. Louisa is my mother's great aunt (sister of Martha Hurt) and as always seems to be the case in Pike Co., their ancestry crosses that of other relatives more than once. I've traced John and Louisa to Jackson Co., KS and am searching there. Also, I've ordered his Civil War Pension file. He served in the 39th with my great, great grandfather Jacob "Jack" Weddington and several others from Pike Co. If any interesting Weddington stuff turns up, I'll pass it along.
