Jonah, I've found a marriage recorded online at the LDS website for John E. Walters and Laura A. Hunt on 9 Jan 1867 in Piketon, Pike Co. Do you know if there are marriage records available in Pike Co. for this time period that might be checked to verify this marriage? I'm almost certain someone misread Laura A. Hunt for Louisa A. Hurt. The groom's name is correct and the time and location fit, but I'd like to know if I'm barking up the wrong tree. Any ideas on how I might check this out? Jean, Yes, there is marriage records in the court house back to 1822 in Pike County. I have books that cover them from 1822 to 1900 and mine says Louisa Hurt for this date, but to check it for more accurcy, you would have to check at the Court House. Walters,  P.O.  L.Sword and Wilburn Walters, By Wm. M. Reynolds, MBC . Louisa Hurt         16,     He -Pike, F- Wythe, M-Tazewell,. She and M-Pike, F-Tazewell. January 9, 1867.
