Does anyone know of an "easy" way to find out what unit a person served in during the Civil War? I have a Franklin Slone who died during the Civil War. He was in his 30's. I don't know if he was actually in the war or not, nor do I know which side he was on. His brother in law David Estep died around the same time period. Does anyone know anything about these men or what units they may have served in?
