Hi all! Thanks Glenn for setting up another mailing list! I really appreciate it. I'm researching several names in Pike County:Bostic, Slone, Thornsbury, Keene, Cochran, Plymale, Childress/Childers, Griffith/Griffey, Collins, Phillops, Maynard, Caudill, Dotson, Belcher and Jeffers/Jeffries. Some of these names I'm just beginning, others I have quite a bit of info on. They are there from the beginnings of Pike County until the present day--although they seem to bounce back and forth across the border into Buchanan County, VA. For anyone out there researching the Thornsbury, Keene, Griffith/Griffey, Slone, Childress or Bostic lines... I have some cemeteries transcribed on my web page. I also have the 1850 Pike County Census that I will try to decipher for anyone who needs the info & the book The Annals of Floyd County (Pike was formed from Floyd) KY if anyone needs a lookup in there.
