Richard was 39 in 1880 and Adaline was 26. She listed her mother, Mary, as being born in NC. Children were: Mary A. 13, Amanda 12, Virginia C. 9, Nancy 4, Martha 9/12. We have records of all the children except Mary A. and Amanda. Cannot find Richard in 1870 anywhere..... Do any of these names sound familiar to any of you on the list???? Would love to find either the Steele line or the Robinson/Robison/Robertson line that connects..... My son married a Logan girl, Melissa Dawn Evans, who was killed in a single car accident in 1990 in Fairmont, Marion County. Her parents still live n Logan. "Old" Tom's son John was a witness at the wedding of Wm. J. Lawrence in Pike Co. in 1846 to My Thomas's mother, Sophia VanDyke. I can't find a William Lawrence other than the marriage and that they were in Wayne Co. in 1850- have wondered if Wm lawrence was same person as William Smith who was Tom's father, and supposedly s/o Thomas of Horsepen. That is why I found it interesting that Louis and lotty named a son Thomas and one John. I am specifically looking for the william Smith who was supposedly in Pike Co. and involved in the feud- Know him?
