I thought with some new talk about Dotsons, I would post the following. I have a Jane Dotson, born 10 Feb. 1851, d. 2 Jul 1930. She married James Griffey. I'm told that her mother was a Slone. However, other relatives claim that Jane's name was Slone--not Dotson. Jane is buried along with her husband James and her daughter and her husband--James Keene and Elizabeth Griffith along with several Esteps. I have not yet determined the relationship of the Esteps to Jane Dotson/Slone. If anyone has information, please let me know. I have traced the Dotson line back to Jamestown--this is another line that I can't connect. The cemetery listing can be found on my personal web page listed below.
