    1. [KYPIKE] Lucinda Clay
    2. My 2nd great grandparents were Blackburn Sturgell and Lucinda Clay. We have always been told that Lucinda was Native American. However she is listed in census records as the daughter Jane Clay and Andrew Jackson Akers signed for her to marry Blackburn. Is there a birth record proving that Jane Clay was the mother of Lucinda? Or does anyone know Jane's ancestry? The reason that I ask is because I recently came across a picture of Blackburn and Lucincda's grandchildren taken at a family reunion and there definitely Native American there somewhere. Any help with this would be of great help. Anita McClung </HTML>
