I am looking for information regarding JOHN PORTER b. abt. 1837 at Pike County KY. Parents were Elijah PORTER b. 1805 in VA died unknown and Mary SCOTT b. abt. 1803 at Pike Co., KY d. abt. 1839 at Pike Co KY. They were married 06 Feb 1825 at Pike Co., KY. MARY SCOTT was the daughter of ELIZABETH McCOY and WILLIAM SCOTT. Elizabeth was the daughter of WILLIAM and CORDELIA McCOY and her brother, DANIEL was the father of ole RANDAL McCOY of the famous Hatfield/Mccoy Feud. I am interested in finding the marriage of JOHN PORTER and any children born of this marriage, where they moved to, etc. I am hoping that, because of the McCoy connection, there may be something further written somewhere.
