Why don't you just go ahead and write to them......they will let you know how much it is, then you can send them the money. I have done that a lot of times in other places; and, it works pretty well, when you cannot get in touch to find out ahead of time. I am interested in this discussion, too, as I am thinking about trying to get a marriage record too. Does anyone know how far back they might go?
