Tara, Thank you so much for offering...... I do not have an exact date, though. I am looking for a marriage of a JOHN PORTER who was the son of ELIJAH PORTER and MARY SCOTT.. He would have been 21 years of age around 1858. I am thinking he may have gotten married about 1858-1865. Things could have been interrupted by the Civil War, since he would have been of age for that. I know that he was still living in Pike County in 1850 as he shows there with his father, step mother, Nancy, and siblings. I cannot find him in the 1860 Census there.....although the father and stepmother with the two youngest children are still there. I am trying to research him for a possible father to my maternal brick wall grandmother, Geneva PORTER b. 1872/1873. Her father was supposed to have been named John PORTER. Again....thank you so much, Dee [email protected] > > From: "Steve Maggard" <[email protected]> > Date: 2007/08/08 Wed PM 03:07:56 EDT > To: <[email protected]> > Subject: Re: [KYPIKE] [SPAM]Re: Marriage License in Pike Co.
