I know that Sam outlived her; he remarried a lady named Virgie and lived in WV for a while probably during the 40's and/or 50's. He ended up back in Ohio where he died in 1978. Someone on this board found what could be her dad, Jacob Denny, also died in Pike County one year after her. I'm suspecting Jacob may have moved to Pike County, and Della and Sam split up and she moved back in with her dad. The only other possibility is that Sam and Della lived with Jacob Denny at the time of her death, and then he moved on after she died.
