Joyce Kidd Marshall, 77, of Gosport, Alabama, formerly of Ashcamp, KY died Monday, Sept. 24, 2007, at her home. She was born at Hellier, Jan. 18 1930, a daughter of the late Noah and Octavia Halbert Kidd. She was a member of the Worldwide Church of God in Pikeville and a commissioned member of the Honorable order of Kentucky Colonels. She was preceded in death by her parents, a stepfather, Glenn “2-Pap” Fleming; two brothers, Ralph Kidd and Hurshel Kidd; four sisters, Sybil Kidd, Vivian Doris Fleming, Betty Moore and Nettie Moore. She is survived by her husband, Earl Marshall; three sons, Dwight D. Marshall of Miramar, Fla., Timothy Layne Marshall and Thomas Lloyd Marshall both of Corinth; three daughters, Truda Lou Dorton of Brooksville, Brenda Sue Nichols of Walker Springs, Alabama, and Donna Leigh Grimes of Gosport; five brothers, Ted Kidd of Northwood, Ohio, Paul Kidd of Muskegon, Mich., Jimmy Fleming of Perrysburg, Ohio, Don Emil Fleming of Marion, Ohio and Robert Earl Fleming of Bainbridge, Ohio; five sisters, Mable Phipps of Talmadge, Ohio, Janavieve Patton of Louisville, Ohio, Rosemary Wyatt of Walbridge, Judy Lou Brammer of Reynoldsburg Ohio, Ferne Baxter of Lafollette, Tenn., and Alice Campbell of Fulton Mich.; 24 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, in the Lathan Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Magnolia Lawn Cemetery, Grove Hill, Ala. Arrangements are under direction of Lathan Funeral Home of Grove Hill, Alabama.
