In 1780 Lincoln Co. Ky., Fayette Co. Ky., Jefferson Co. Ky. were formed out of Virginia. In 1781 Greenbriar Co.,Va. now West Virginia was still part of Virginia. Greenbriar Co. Va. is where my John Wesley COLLIER/COLYER removed to Lincoln Co./Pulaski Co. Ky. In 1785 Mercer Co. and Madison Co's (Ky) were formed from Lincoln Co. Ky. In 1796 Garrard Co. was formed from PARTS of Lincoln, Mercer and Madison Counties. In 1798 Pulaski was formed from Lincoln Co. In 1810 Rockcastle Co. was formed from PARTS of Lincoln, Pulaski, and Madison Counties. I have more dates if anyone wants them.
