Hi, I am new to the list and am looking for any info on David McKee. I don't have a birth date and am only estimating his death. He was married to Mattie Stephenson. The only thing I have on her is that she was a midwife in Pike Co. in early 1900's. David was killed while working on a railroad bridge that spanned the Tug River from Ky. to WV. by a train. Hi All -- I was very happy to see that a Pike County list had been started. I have lots of Pike Co. relatives and grew up just across the state line in Dickenson Co. VA. My Pike Co. surnames include: Stout, Mullins, Bumgardner, Tackitt, Osborn, and Johnson to name a few. Since the Belcher surname has been so popular on the list, I thought that I would list my Belcher ancestor and see if anyone has any additional information on him: William L. Belcher b. 1829 in Pike Co. KY (according to death certificate) or Russell Co. VA (according to marriage record) d. Aug 2 1871 in Scott Co. VA. He was a son of John and Sarah Belcher. William married Caroline J. Gordon d/o Dorothy Gordon and John Ragsdale (?) on Jan 26, 1854 in Russell Co. VA. William and Caroline had several children including George "Hop" Belcher.
