    1. [KYPIKE-L] Smith children
    2. Does anyone have any Smiths in their family that include sons that their mother died and they came back to KY from WV. The father would be named John or Samuel Smith, he would have been born 1810 or 1811. We think that the mother may have been the daughter of Sherrod Adkins. The children would have been born before 1847. Thanks Robin WV

    2. You'll find will of William Ramey (Floyd Co) on the Johnson Co GenWeb page. There was no sister of William Henry Harrison named Eleanor; Dr. Rhemy deserves twenty lashes with a wet noodle for printing that. It is probably the single thing that has thrown hundreds of Ramey researchers off the track. Best of luck, Earl B. Akers, Sr. Puyallup WA

    1. [KYPIKE-L] William Ramey confusion
    2. James D. Miller
    3. I'm confused... I beleive the William Ramey who was named executor of Moses Ramey's will in 1845 is the William Ramey who settled in Elkhorn City, Pike Co., KY, but I think that his wife was Anna Samlins and not Eleanor Harrison. I believe this to be a confusion of the William Ramey of Johnson Co., KY whose wife was Eleanor Harrison and William Ramey of Pike Co., KY whose wife was Anna Samlins. Is this correct? Who are the parents of William Ramey of Elkhorn City, Pike Co., KY? It appears that my Moses Ramey, married to Tabitha, signed for the marriage of Moses Ramey to Jane Fuller. And that Henry P. Carty signed for one of Moses and Tabitha Ramey's children marriage after Moses' death in 1845. Can any one help? Here is what the Ramey book says, I only have photocopies & not whole book... Children of Daniel Ramey and Rachel Johnson: 1. William R., b. 1759, Abingdon, Washington Co., VA; m. Eleanor Harrison, sister of U. S. President Wm. Henry Harrison. He died in Pike Co. in 1854. According to the Ramey book, this is the one that settled in Elkhorn City, Pike Co., KY. Could be the William Ramey, executor of Moses' Will? 2. John, b. 1760, Washington Co., VA; m. Sarah ?, of Irish descent, and d. 1832, Caldwell Co., KY 3. Daniel S., Jr., b. abt. 1763; m. Sarah and d. 25 DEC 1805, Bourbon Co., KY. they had a son James who was named in Daniel Sr.'s will 4. John Minns; m. 15 SEP 1816, Floyd Co., KY to Peggy Hitchcock 5. Rachel; m. 25 OCT 1808, Bourbon Co, KY to Jacob Wood 6.
