He was a retired coal miner and the son of the late Asbill and Bernice Hensley Walker. He is survived by his wife, Jean Walker; daughter Laura Vance and husband David; sister Sandy McGuire; brothers Darrell Walker and Bobby Raye Walker and a host of family and friends. Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel of Hazard where the family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, November 15. Services will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 16 with Rev. Mike Barnett officiating. Interment will be at Walker Family Cemetery in Hazard. **************************************** Loran Stacy Loran Edward “Ed” Stacy, 74, died Monday, November 14 at his home in Vance, Alabama. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of service and a member of the VFW Post 1055. He is survived by his wife, Beth Stacy of Vance; daughters Misty Jones and husband Mark and Tiffany Walker and husband William; grandchildren Bethany Lott, Mandy “Pooh Bear” Lott, Tyler Jones, Phillip Allen, Austin Walker, Aidan Walker, Kaylie Walker and Kaila Walker; brothers Wallace Stacy and wife Pat, Douglas Stacy and wife Sandy, Bert Mitton and wife Olivia; and nephew Hubert Hunley and wife Nancy of Shelby Township, MI, along with a host of other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Beatrice Stacy; brothers Hubert, Cletus and Bill Stacy; and sisters Florence Hunley and Thelma Stacy. He was the son of the late Bert Mobelini and the late Ruth Chapman Mobelini. He was the son of the late Ray Johnson and the late Nannie Johnson, and was also preceded in death by his brother, James Johnson. He is survived by daughters Nancy Barreto and Vanetta Johnson; sisters Joyce Baker and June Williams; brother Martin Johnson; special niece Penelope Williams along with six grandchildren and a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was born on May 29, 1942 to the late Theodore McGeorge and Nancy Brewer. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, and watching TV. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Gibson, and son Willie James Gibson. She is survived by sons Johnny Gibson, Jr. of Hardburly and Victor Lee Gibson and Donald Ray Gibson, both of Bulan; daughters Debra Reed of Dice, Melissa Morris of Dwarf, Vicky Gibson, Nancy Williams, and Jamie Marie Gibson, all of Bulan; along with 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
