She was the daughter of the late Hobert Eckles and the late Vida Hall Eckles, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Chester Burton; daughter Debra Louise Eckles and brother Jimmy Darrell Eckles. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Eckles; brother Charles Edward Eckles; grandchildren Eva Yuvonne Miniard and Andrea Louise Messer and husband Andrew; great-grandchildren Victoria Combs, Randall Combs, Deanna Sizemore, Gregory Bailey and Jayden Messer; special niece Barbie Eckles and a host of family and friends. Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Brothers Funeral Home of Hazard where the family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, November 10. Hall, 73, departed this life on Saturday, November 5 at the Hazard ARH medical center. He was born in Perry County, the son of the late Ellis Hall and the late Cloay Baker Hall, and was also preceded in death by brothers Harold, Charles, Hacker, Henry and Andrew; and sisters Loves, Opal, Mary, Jessica and Juanita. He is survived by his wife, Betty Hall of Yerkes; sons Jack Combs and Wendy of Hazard and Ricky Combs of Yerkes; daughters Charlene McQueen and husband Danny of Crothersville, Indiana and Loretta Roberts and husband Larry of Busy; sister Rosetta Jameson and husband General of Bulan and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was born in Perry County, the daughter of the late Walter Riddle and the late Alice Logan Riddle, and was also preceded in death by brohers Clyde, John and Wayne Riddle; sisters Dorothy Spencer, Esther Holbrook, Helen Williams and Birdie Smith. She is survived by her son, Lonnie Riddle and wife April of Hazard; daughter Nellie Collett and Donald Paul Adams of Hazard; granddaughter Lisa Jane Collett; sisters Mary Lou Coots Wilson of Harlan and Martha Dixon of Leatherwood; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was a retired school teacher for the Perry County School District, and the daughter of the late Joe Wells and the late Mallie Fields Wells. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Owen Wilson; daughter Linda Wilson; and brother Jerry Wells. She is survived by daughters Deronna Wilson and Susan Spencer and husband James; son Joe Wilson; sister Janis Gambell; grandchildren Seth Napier, Rebecca Smith and husband Farlon, Ruth Ann Muse and husband Ray and Christopher Wilson; along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Interment was at Elijah Combs Family Cemetery in Jeff. *********************************************** Georgia Mae Stewart Fortney Georgia Mae Stewart Fortney, born April 9, 1925 in Hazard, passed away on Wednesday, November 2 in Deland, Fl. She was preceded in death by her husbands Walter Scott Fortney, Jr. of Hazard and Thomas Stokley of Lexington. She is survived by her seven children, Walter Scott Fortney III of Louisville, Ronald J. Fortney of Deland, Fl., James T. Fortney, Kenneth Ray Fortney, Charles Fortney, Ashell J. Edwards and Lisa M. Denith, all of Louisville. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at New Hope Christian Center at a later date.
