She is survived by sons Talton Futch of Chicago, Eugene Dwight Futch of Addison, Il. and David Dalton Futch of Woodstock, Il.; daughters Katherine Lucille Caudill of Algonquin, Il. and Carlene Lennette Coots and husband Donnie of Viper. She is also survived by one brother, five sisters, 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Arrangements are being handled by Brashear-Callahan Funeral Home of Viper. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, August 19 at the funeral home with services beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 20 with Donnie Coots and Jeffery Coots officiating. Burial will be at Causey Cemetery located in Viper. ******************************************* Ollie Caudill Ollie Caudill, 84, of Viper died Saturday, August 14 at the hospice care center in Hazard. She was the daughter of the late Spencer Caudill and the late Delsie Hall Caudill, and was also preceded in death by four sisters and one grandchild, Ronnie Lee Halcomb. She is survived by her daughter, Susie Wooton; sisters Lizzie Halcomb, Judy Gibson, Vernie Halcomb, Francis Halcomb and Lois Jean Coots; brothers Henry Caudill and Vincent Caudill; beloved friend Joann Watts; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel of Hazard where the family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday August 16. Services will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 17 with Donnie Coots officiating. Interment will be at Halcomb Cemetery in Delphia. ******************************************** Jamie Combs Jamie Combs, 32, died Sunday, August 14 at her home in Bulan. She is preceded in death by her mother, Reva Joyce King. She is survived by her husband, Jackie Combs; father James Baker; daughter Jacqulyne Combs; son Austin Taulbee; stepsons Ethan Combs and Anthony Combs and a host of aunts, uncles, family and friends. Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Brothers Funeral Home of Hazard. Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. on Thursday, August 18. Services will immediately follow at 2 p.m. with Sister Sue Stacy officiating. Interment will be at Blackhawk Cemetery in Happy. ******************************************** Mildred Gray Mildred Jameson Gray, 62, passed away Saturday, August 13 at the Hazard ARH medical center. She was born in Perry County, the daughter of the late Luther Jameson and the late Emma Williams Jameson. She was a lifelong resident of Perry County and a member of the Little Willard Church of Christ, and was also preceded in death by her brother, Robert Lee Jameson, and sister Barbara Sue Feltner. She is survived by her husband, Kenny Gray of Hazard; son Dwight David Eversole of Busy; brothers James E. Williams and wife Shelby of Hazard, Wade Jameson of Busy, Paul Jameson and wife Elsie of Busy and Wendell Jameson and wife Carole of Frankfort, sisters Billie Jean Drury and husband Larry of Lawrenceburg and Mourine Sudduth and husband Shane of Lawrenceburg; half brother Luther Jameson, Jr. of Bulan; and grandchildren David Alexander Eversole, Hope Michelle Eversole and Dustin Michael Eversole. Funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday August 16 at 2 p.m. at the Engle-Walker Funeral Home on East Main Street with J.P. Couch, Paul Couch and Eddie Williams officiating. The burial will follow in the Jameson Cemetery located on Coal Harbor. The Visitation will be on Monday evening at the Engle-Walker Funeral Home from 6 to 9 p.m. ********************************************** Stella Smith Stella Marie Smith, 59, departed this life on Thursday, August 11 at the Hospice Center of Dayton. She was born in Perry County, the daughter of the late Earl Neace and the late Lillie Mae Hughes Neace. She was a member of the Coneva Church of God and was also preceded in death by her son, Claude White; brothers Roy Lee Neace, Jimmy Darrell Neace, Raymond Neace and Don Neace; and sisters Odessa Combs, Myrtle Reffett and Alice Baker. She is survived by her husband, Roy Smith of Franklin, Ohio; sons Roy A. Smith, Lonnie Smith and Joe Lewis, all of Franklin, Ohio; brothers Earl Neace, Jr. and Larry Neace, both of Chavies; twin sister Ann Smith of Chavies and a host of grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, August 14 at the Coneva Church of God at Chavies with Sister Sue Stacy officiating. The burial followed in the Johnson Cemetery located at Chavies. Engle-Walker Funeral Home of Hazard was in charge of arrangements. *********************************************** Joe Combs Joe Combs, 81, of Hazard, died Thursday, August 11 at the Eastern Kentucky Veterans Center in Hazard. He was employed as a lineman by Kentucky Power Company for many years, and was the son of the late Napor Combs and the late Melinda Dixon Combs. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean Combs and daughter-in-law Joyce Combs. He is survived by sons Randall Combs and Kent Combs and wife Cindy; sister Corba Cornett; brother Gene Combs; and grandchildren Kevin, Carly, Jordan and Jonathan. Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Brothers Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, August 16. Services will immediately follow at 2 p.m. with Jim Sluss officiating. Interment will be at Resthaven Cemetery at Jeff. He was a truck driver for James River Coal and the son of the late Green Shepherd and the late Versie Couch Shepherd. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Harold. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Shepherd; son Derek Lloyd Adams; sisters Geraldine, Nadine, Brenda and Janice; brothers Darrell, Revis, Russell, Michael and Jimmy; mother-in-law Janice Caudill; father-in-law Chester Adams; sisters-in-law Paula and Becky; brothers-in-law Junior, Jimmy and Michael; and special friends Verlin Cress. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Ray Cole. He is survived by his parents, James Ricky Cole and Pamela Maggard Cole; wife Kimberly Griffith Cole; son Jesse Ray Cole, Jr.; daughters Madison Miller and Clarissa Cole; brother Eric Joseph Cole; maternal grandparents Jess and Clara Maggard; paternal grandmother Ellen Cole; aunts Linda Watkins and Kathy Maggard; uncles Donnie Watkins and Jess Maggard, Jr.; in-laws Buddy and Judy Griffith and a host of family and friends. He was in sales for the Pepsi Cola Company for 17 years, and was preceded in death by his father, Grant Baker, and brothers Jay, Jerry and Johnny Baker. He is survived by his wife, Mary Baker; mother Lillian Baker; daughters Solina Marie Baker and Jimmy Daniels and Elizabeth Ritchie and Dillon Jones; sisters Brenda Brooks and husband Eddie, Lori Worener and husband Steve, Donna Boston and husband David, Judy Brooks and husband Ray, Mary Ellen Shoemaker and husband Larry, Elaine Baker and Carolyn Runyon; brothers Ted Baker and wife Lucena, Perry Baker and wife Judy, Grant Baker, Jr. and Jimmy Baker and wife Sandra; grandchildren Trinity Cathline Marie, Serenity Faith Solena and Kenaly Dawn Daniels; and father-in-law Dallas Arnett. She was a beautician for many years and the daughter of the late S.H. "Fat" Lindon and the late Dorothy Belle Caldwell Lindon. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Kelly FIelds; brothers Bobby Glen and Sammy Wayne Lindon; and grandson Christopher Fields. She is survived by her daughter, Gina Knowles; son Mark Fields and wife Tina; beloved family Margie Fields, Leonard Knowles and Donna Lindon; grandchildren Angel Anthony, Dustin Grant Knowles, Whitney Leeann Fields, Lindsey Kristen Fields and Mary Wayne Fields II, along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
