He was born in Hazard on June 5, 1955, the son of the late Lloyd Baker and the late Gladys Baker. William was also preceded in death by his ex-wife, Stacy Baker; brothers Isaac and Gary Lee Baker; and sister Imogene Baker. He is survived by his son, Lloyd S. Baker and wife Margarett of Yellow Creek; daughters Tammy Williams and husband Johnny of Yerkes, Tina Baker and husband James Hornbuckle of Zephyrhills, Florida, and Tina Mosher and husband June Bug of Yerkes; sisters Sharon White of Yerkes and Joyce Hawkins and husband Archie of Cincinnati, Ohio; along with 13 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, January 3 at 4 p.m. at the Engle-Walker Funeral Home of Hazard with Paul Couch officiating. *************************************** Goldie Sizemore Goldie Sizemore, 84, of Hazard, passed away on Saturday, December 31 at the Hazard ARH medical center. She was the daughter of the late Tug Fields and the late Nora Campbell Fields, and was also preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara McIntosh; son Doug Sizemore; brothers Herman, Kelly, Curt, Alfred and RayLee Fields; grandchild Anthony Sizemore; and one great-grandchild: James Shelley. She is survived by her loving husband, Roy Sizemore; son Curt Wayne Sizemore and wife Beverly; daughters Marilyn Staton and husband Clint, Nora George and husband Bruce, Shirley Feltner and husband Everett and Joy Allen and husband Earl; sisters Maude Hensley and husband Charles, Mabel Reichart, Betty Bowling, and Doris Harmsworth and husband Clay; brothers Donald Fields and wife Jeanne, along with 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Arrangements were handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel of Hazard where the family receive friends on Monday, January 2. Services were held on Tuesday, January 3 with Johnny Akers and Jimmy Dale Hensley officiating. Burial was at Sizemore Farm Cemetery at Big Creek. **************************************** Frank Sizemore Frank Sizemore, 72, of Hazard, died Saturday, December 31 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Ky. He was the son of the late Dave Sizemore and the late Eunice Chapman Sizemore, and was also proceeded in death by his step-father, Jody Ritchie, and brother Johnny Sizemore. He was a retired radio man for the United States Navy and also retired from the United States Postal Service. He is survived by his wife, Loretta Sizemore; daughter Jennifer Boffo and Kirby Combs; sons Dave Sizemore, Michael Scott Sizemore and wife Karen, and Jeff Sizemore and wife Jane Ann; brothers Lamarr Ritchie; grandchildren Blake, Nikki, Tyler, Graham, Shyann, Jake, Renzee, Elliot, Sarah and Christian, along with great-grandchildren Brayson. Arrangements were handled by Maggard Brothers Funeral Home of Hazard where the family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, January 4. Services will begin at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 5 with Rev. Densmore Goodson officiating. Interment will be at Englewood Cemetery at Christopher. ***************************************** Betty Begley Barbara Jean Begley, 74, died Thursday, December 29 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. She was born February 8, 1937 in Glomawr, Kentucky to Hargis and Jean Hammonds Begley. She graduated from Dilce Combs High School and attended Trinity College in Chicago. She received her BSN and MSN degrees from the University of Illinois and her MA and PhD degrees from Heed University in Hollywood, Florida. She retired as a nursing administrator for the Edward Hines, Jr. Veterans Administration Hospital in Hines, Illinois in 2004. She is survived by three brothers: Carl of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Lindell of Hazard and David of Lexington; and three sisters: Sue Dunsil and Brenda Dunsil, both of Hazard, and Dana Engle of Whitesburg, Georgia. Services will be private with interment in the Ben Cornett Cemetery at Viper. Gifts in her memory can be made to the American Cancer Society. ****************************************** Gena Gayheart Gena Anita Gayheart, 60 of Hazard, died Thursday, December 29 at the hospice care center in Hazard. She was the daughter of the late Aldred Smith and the late Wanda Jo Francis Smith, and was also preceded in death by sisters Loveda Ritchie and Malvery Oldfield; brothers James Anthony Smith, Luther Smith and Denver Smith; and husband Arthur Gayheart. She is survived by daughters Lydia Michelle Gayheart and husband Eddie Stacy and Wanda Sue Miller and husband Danny Ray; sisters Margaret Grigsby, Vickie Grubbs, Betty Combs and Connie Smith; brothers Earl Michael Smith and Brack Combs; grandchildren Arthur Brian Gayheart and Whitney Coghill, Anthony Ryan Gayheart, Daniel Ray Gayheart and Autumn Bristol Miller; along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel of Hazard. Visitation will be held at the Clear Fork Old Regular Baptist Church where the family will receive friends after 5 p.m. on Saturday, December 31. Services will begin at 1 p.m. on Sunday, January 1. Interment will be at Smith Cemetery in Hazard. *******************************************
