He was the son of the late John Mullins and the late Ollie Hicks Mullins. He is survived by his daughter, Brenda Caudill; son Jonathan Mullins and wife Elizabeth; sisters Oliver Martin, Clara Bowling, Virginia Oliver, Ruth Mullins, Pearlie Jones and Maggie Begley; brothers Lawrence Mullins, Sam Mullins and James Mullins, along with five grandchildren and a host of family and friends. Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Brothers Funeral Home of Hazard where the family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 12. Services will follow with Herbert Hicks officiating. Interment will be at Mullins Cemetery in Bulan. ******************************************** Glenda Brown Glenda Brown died on Thursday, October 7 from an infection. She was survived by her mother, Lula Carder; her sister and brother; her daughters, Desiree Drysden and Marie Wells, and son David Bush; and her 6 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 15 at 4 p.m. at the Jackson Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1725 N. Highway 15. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Glenda's burial would be appreciated. ********************************************* Albert Farler Albert, 78, departed this life on Wednesday, October 5 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. He was born in Perry County, the son of the late Bob Farler and the late Mary Fields Farler, and was also preceded in death by his son, Joseph Randall Farler; daughter Susan Farler; and his grandson Joshua Farler. He is survived by his companion, Betty Jones of Lexington; son Rick Farler of Viper; daughter Donna Farler of Viper; brothers Robert Farler of Viper and Carl Farler of Arkansas; sisters Alice Spurlock of Viper and Jewel Heiner of Aurora, Colorado; special nephew Butter Farler of Hazard; grandchildren Leslie Farler, April Bruner and Joseph Farler, and great-grandchild Kayden Farler, along with a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation was held on Saturday, October 8 at the Engle-Walker Funeral Home of Hazard. ********************************************** Pauline Farler Pauline Farler, 74, departed this life on Tuesday, October 4 at the University of Louisville Hospital. She was born in Perry County, the daughter of the late Homer Ashworth and the late Hanna Campbell Ashworth. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Ann Farler; son Michael Allen Combs; and sister Peggy Ratliff. Pauline was a life-long resident of Perry County, a member of the Church of Christ and enjoyed spending time with her friends at the Gorman Towers. She is survived by sons Cova Combs, Jr. and wife Anna of Bulan and Frank Combs of Acup; brother Frank Ashworth of Happy; sister Helen McIntosh of Ohio; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends survive. Services were conducted on Friday, October 7 at the Engle-Walker Funeral Home of Hazard with Ed Couch officiating. The burial followed in the Blackhawk Cemetery located at Happy. *********************************************** Janice Alexander Janice Salyers Alexander, 71, passed away Sunday, October 2 at the Hazard Hospice Care Center. She was born in Darfork, the daughter of the late Frank Salyers and the late Carries Cochran Salyers. She was a life-long resident of Perry County and was also preceded in death by her husband, Roger Alexander; son Michael Roark; daughter Sondra Karyl Smith; and brothers Paul Benton, J.M. Salyers and Frank Salyers, Jr. She is survived by her sister, Joyce Vires of Hazard; special friends Grayson and Jackie Friley of Sassafras and Karen Farris of Hazard, along with a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, October 5 at the Engle-Walker Funeral Home of Hazard with Grayson Friley officiating. Kristy was born in Hazard, the daughter of David McIntyre and Brenda Beverly Couch. She was a life-long resident of Perry County and was also preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Shelving and Zola Beverly. She is survived by her mother, Brenda Couch of Busy; father David McIntyre of Harlan; sons Kameron Davidson and Mason Davidson, both of Hazard; daughters Karley Davidson of Hazard and Rylie Moore of Hazard; brother Ryan Cress of Vicco; sister Jessica Chenault of Hazard; special nephews Gavin and Aiden Chenault; special friends Roy and Sandy Halcomb and a host of other relatives and friends. She was a retiree from the Division of Unemployment, and the daughter of the late Paul Hoskins and the late Sarah Spencer Hoskins. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jim Campbell, and grandson Dylan Combs. She is survived by daughters Jennifer Campbell and husband Arnie and Stephanie Campbell; sons James Paul Campbell and wife Becky and Jason Campbell and wife Janell; sisters Fern Knight and Phyllis Sears; brothers Larry Hoskins, Curtis Hoskins and Jerry Hoskins; along with nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends. She is survived by sons Timothy Arthur of Yeaddiss and Billy Pete Bailey of Slemp; daughters Angela Caldwell of Slemp, Janice Sue Clark of Yeaddiss and Jeanetta Lynn Bailey of Yeaddiss; brothers Ottis Adams, Chester Adams, Luther Adams, Davis Adams and Lester Adams; sisters Francis Cornett, Princess Melton and Josephine Adams; and son-in-law Pearl Baker, Jr. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and many friends. Funeral services were conducted at the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in Puncheon Camp with Don Kilburn and Darrell Caldwell officiating. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Curt Duff; grandson Dustin S. Duff; daughter-in-law Pattie Campbell Duff; four sisters and one brother. She is survived by sons Curt "Duffy" Duff, Jack Harrison Duff and wife Bobbie and Robert Paul Duff II; grandchildren Susan Terrill, Cyndi Studer, Margie Duff Coots, Jennifer Duff Moscrip, James Lawrence Duff, Sherri Duff and Jack Duff II; seven great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
