Hinton Mausoleum at Johnson Memorial Park , Pikeville, KY Bennie Mae Caudill Combs, age 86 of Pikeville, passed away, Saturday, October 29, 2011 at the Pikeville Medical Center Emergency Room. She was a homemaker and Mother of three children and a member of the First Baptist Church of Pikeville. She graduated from Prestonsburg High School and attended Murry State University. She was a member of Pike County Medical Auxillary, a former WMU member, Girl Scout Leader and Sunday School Teacher. She was preceded in death by her parents John Caudill and Nancy Waddell Caudill, and her husband, Dr. Gene Norman Combs one brother Claude Caudill and one sister, Vivian Caudill Shannon. She is survived by two sons, Dr. Gene N. Combs Jr. and his wife Jill Freedman of Evanston, ILL and John T. Combs and his wife Mary Bee, one daughter Nancy Combs Howard and her husband John of Sunset, SC. She also leaves behind five grandchildren, Benjamin Allen Howard, Gene Gardner Howard, Cynthia Brooke Combs, Emily Combs Stoneroad and Lily Freedman.
