JUST POSTING THE OBITUARY ON JAMES COCHRAN FROM THE BROWN COUNTY (OH) NEWS-DEMOCRAT 6/18/08 James Austin "The Brownie Man" Cochran, 85, of Georgetown, OH died June 16, 2008 at Brown County General Hospital, in Georgetown, OH. He was a retired engineer from Vought Air Craft Industries, a United State Army World War II veteran, was part of the European Theater of Operations, a Kentucky Colonel, member of the Carey Bavis American Legion Post 180, the Sam R. HamiltonMasonic Lodge 1031 in Grand Prairie, Texas; the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite of Cincinnati, VFW and Shriners. Mr. Cochran was born June 6, 1923 in Combs, KY, the son of the late Samuel and America Tyler Cochran. He was also preceded in death by one son, James Cochran; three brothers, Nathan, Carl W. and Edward C. Cochran; and three sisters, Mazie Cochran, Marie Rosie Baker and Juanita Molly Helton. He is survived by his wife, Merena Mae Vice Cochran of Georgetown, OH; one daughter, Melinda Cochran of Highland County, OH; one son, John Austin Cochran of IA; several grandchildren; one brother, William Bud C! ochran of Bethel, OH; one sister, Creta Fay Bowling of Amelia, OH; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Cochran made an anatomical gift to the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. The Cahall Funeral Home, in Georgetown, serving the family.
