Vic, Please clarify who are the parents of Martin Couch who came to KY with father John Couch (which one?) and was the progenitor of a number of Perry County families? I know you didn't ask me, but Martin (my ancestor) was a son of John Couch and Elizabeth James... geeze my grandmother Lewis b. 1868 knew that. Another of my Lewis ancestors is known to have gone to NC to visit his Boone kinfolk... that was William the son of James T Lewis, and Sarah 'Sallie' Couch, who was a daughter John Couch b. 1750 and Mary Polly Boone. If this isn't a connection I don't know what would be. Like I said before I don't have actual paper proof of what I'm saying but I believe the proof is out there somewhere .. it's just in hiding.
