JUST POSTING THE OBITUARY ON JERRY SALYERS JR FROM THE MIDDLETOWN (OH) JOURNAL 6/22/08 Jerry Salyers, Jr., Age 65, of Trenton, OH went to be with the Lord on June 20, 2008 at Atrium Medical Center where he had been a patient for 4 days. He was born July 10, 1942 in (Perry County) Kentucky, moving to Ohio in 1950. He was employed in foundation work by Myers Concrete and S & S Foundations for 25 years, and then as a machine operator for Eversharpe-Deburring Tool Company in Trenton, OH for 10 years retiring in 2002. He also cared for his mother after she suffered a stroke. He was an active member of the Home Avenue First Church of God, Trenton, OH, where he served on the Board of Trustees. He enjoyed four-wheeling in the Cumberland Lake area. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Salyers, Sr. and one son, Jerry Keith Salyers. He is survived by his mother, Clarice Salyers, Trenton, OH; 3 children, Teresa Langdon, husband Steve, Middletown, OH, Debbie Barker, husband Jimmy, Trenton, OH, and Kevin Salyers, wife Tammy, West Harrison, IN; 10 Grandchildren, All! an, Jennifer, Tyler, Mark, Megan, Kaitlin, Raven, Cory, Courtney, and Kristin; 2 great grandchildren, Dakota and Larkyn; 2 brothers, Curt Salyers, wife Joyce, Middletown, OH, and Mike Salyers, wife Theresa, Trenton, OH; 1 sister, Bernice "Sis" Huff, husband David, Middletown, OH; best friend, Art McKnight, Middletown, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be June 24, 2008, from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m. at the Home Avenue First Church Of God, 426 East Home Ave., Trenton, OH, followed by funeral services at 2:00 p.m. at the church with Pastor Steve Cable and Associate Pastor Todd Wallen officiating. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park, Trenton. Memorial contributions may be made to the Home Ave. First Church Of God, 426 East Home Ave., Trenton, OH 45067.
