He was the son of the late William Colwell and the late      **Della Couch Colwell**, and was also preceded in death by his wife, Barb Colwell; brother Clarence Colwell and sisters Angela Becker and Elizabeth Colwell. He is survived by his daughter, Bridget Colwell; brothers Floyd Colwell and E.C. Colwell, Jr.; sisters Paladine Colwell, Pat Colwell, Pokey Colwell and Laverine Colwell; brothers Rufus Colwell, Bill Colwell and John Henry Colwell, along with 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel of Hazard. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 14. Services will immediately follow. Interment will be at Baker Cemetery in Busy.
