Jenny, I just got back from the Ky Historical Society and YES!!, I got Elijah Combs's death certificate. (Remember it was indexed as Elijah Cowles) Here is what it says.... This Elijah is the son of Fielden Combs and Sylvia Engle. On the Tombstone inscription note says he was KY PVT 26 INF 1 DIV.
