She was born Friday, May 24, 1929, in Yerkis, KY, daughter of the late Adam and Nancy (Whitehead) Milam. She is survived by her son, Gary Bailey; step son, Pleasant (Mabel) Bailey Jr.; 2 daughters, Brenda (Ron)_ Preisendefer, and Nancy (Rick) Armstrong; 2 sisters, Glenna Savage, and Ruby Hamlin; and 12 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Pleasant; son, Steve Bailey; daughter, Kay Meyer; grandson, Jonathan; 5 sisters; and 3 brothers. Friends will be received Tuesday, December 27, 2011 from 11am to 1pm at the First Church of Christ, Greendale, Indiana. Funeral services will be held at First Church of Christ, Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at 1pm with Pastor Tim Russell officiating. Interment will follow in the Greendale Cemetery, Greendale, Indiana.
