Arnold Combs Arnold Combs, 91, of Versailles, passed away Friday, October 29, 2010 at the Heartland of Mt. Airy of Cincinnati, Ohio. He was born October 20, 1919 the son of Blaine and Alice Tucker Combs. He married Gladys Revel March 15, 1978 and she survives. Other survivors include daughters: Cathy (Jeff) Volz of Osgood, Irene Messer of Versailles, Brenda Adams, Glenda Leach and Jennifer Borders, all of Madison; son: Randy Combs of GA; brother: Carlos Combs of TX; sister: Maxine Shorter of Cincinnati, OH; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons: Robin and Ellis Combs; two brothers: James and Alex Combs; and one sister: Nancy Shorter. Mr. Combs was a WWII Army veteran. He had worked at Romweber's of Batesville for 32 years. Funeral services were held Monday, November 1, at Neal's Funeral Home, Osgood, with burial in the Cross Plains Methodist Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Cross Plains Cemetery. Neal's Funeral Home, Osgood, was in charge of arrangements.
