Mr. Don C. "Donnie" Amburgey, age 49, Johnson City, passed away Monday, May 9, 2011, at the Johnson City Medical Center. Mr. Amburgey was born in Hazard, Kentucky. He was the son of Don & Joyce Cornett Amburgey, Jenkins, Kentucky. He was of the Christian faith. Mr. Amburgey was a Communication Service Manager for Tri-Cities Communication in Johnson City. In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife, Chrissy Bentley Amburgey, Johnson City; children, Stephanie Amburgey and Troy Amburgey, both of Johnson City; sister, Deborah Sturgill, Jenkins Ky.; and one brother, Jeff Amburgey, Johnson City. Memorial services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 12, 2011, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darrell Slagle Jr. officiating.
