JUST POSTING THE OBITUARY ON ODEAN BROWN FROM THE MIDDLETOWN (OH) JOURNAL 5/10/08 Odean Brown, age 85, of Middletown, OH passed away May 9, 2008 at his residence. He was born November 27, 1922 in Hazard, KY. He served in the Army during W.W. II, in Burma and South Africa. He received the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with 2 Bronze Stars. He moved to Middletown after the war. He was an assembler at General Motors and Frigidaire, retiring in 1976 after a total of 30 years. He enjoyed traveling with his youngest son, and his hobbies were reading and gardening. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernie and Rebecca (Brashear) Brown; his wife, Thelma in 2000; 7 brothers, George, Everett, Coleman, Greenville, Otis, Paul and Johnny; and 4 sisters, Edna, Della, Sadie and Grace. He is survived by 5 daughters, Linda Robinson, husband William, Middletown, OH, Sharon Ary, husband Howard, Oregonia, OH, Lois Miller, husband Darliss, Middletown, Cindy Hall, husband Ross, Middletown, and Charlene Barnett, husband Johnny, Middletown; 2 sons, David Brown, wife Lisa, M! iddletown and Scott Brown, wife Betsy, Middletown; 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Eunice, CO and Emma, NC; 1 brother, Don, Moscow, OH; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be May 13, 2008 from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m. at the Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown, OH followed by services at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Kimberlee Gibson officiating. Interment will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Poasttown, OH with military services by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be made to Gods House of Prayer, Yankee Road, Middletown, OH. Arrangements by Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown, OH.
