Clayton Austin Combs Age: 89 Visitation: After 6:00 PM Thursday, May 31st, at Bowling Funeral Home Funeral Service: 2:00 PM Friday, June 1st, in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel Interment: Floyd Cemetery at Dog Branch, KY Clayton Austin Combs was born on July 27, 1922, in Montgomery County, Kentucky, the son of the late Shiloh and Larsena Smith Combs. He was united in marriage to Martha Ellen Combs, who survives. He is also survived by one daughter: Lorena Ellison of Corbin, one foster son: Steven Scott Johnson of Michigan, one brother: Morton Combs of Emmalena, Kentucky, four grandchildren: Brian Theodore, Derek Allen, Rachael Ellison and Loren Ellison, ten great-grandchildren, plus a host of other friends and relatives to mourn his passing. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by one daughter: Glenyce Carver, two sisters: Nancy and Hazel and three brothers: D. V., Shorty and Harm. He was retired from General Motors and was United States Army veteran, serving during World War II.
