    3. Published in the Hazard Herald 30 March 2011 **************************************** Willis Cody Willis Cody, 74, passed away on Tuesday, March 29 at the Hazard ARH medical center. He was born in Viper, the son of the late Monroe Cody and the late Nancy Farler Cody. He was a lifelong resident of Perry County and a member of the Right Fork Church of Christ. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Cody, son William Cody and daughter Alana Sharon Cody. He is survived by his daughter, Judy Adams and Frank Smith of Viper; brothers Charles Cody and Lester Cody of Viper; sisters Cassie Cody, Bertha Fields and Judy Fields, all of Viper, and Cynthia Fields of Smilax; and grandchildren Willis Adams, Randy Adams and Erica Cody. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 5 at 11 a.m. at the Right Fork Church of Christ with Virgil Hurt officiating. The burial will follow in the Cody Cemetery in Viper. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday evening beginning at 6 p.m. Engle-Walker Funeral Home of Hazard is in charge of arrangements. **************************************** Geraldine Hoskins Geraldine Hoskins, 76, passed away on Friday, March 25 at the Hazard ARH medical center. The daughter of the late Morris Stidham and the late Grace Morris Stidham, she was born on October 16, 1934. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Hoskins, daughters Glenna Sue Stidham and Lisa Hoskins, and brothers Roy Stidham. She is survived by her sons, Douglas Gene Hoskins of Yerkes, Harold Gene Hoskins of Corbin and Jimmy Hoskins of Yerkes; daughters Linda Abner and Brenda Couch, both of Yerkes; brothers Vernon Stidham of Michigan, Morris Stidham, Jr., Marshall Stidham and Donnie Stidham, all of Yerkes; sisters Hager Owens and Allene Salisbury of Indiana, Geneva Sizemore of Krypton, and Mary Stidham and Audrey Neace, both of Dice. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held on Sunday, March 27 at the Engle-Walker Funeral Home of Hazard with Johnny Ambrose officiating. The burial followed in the Scalem Cemetery at Yerkes. ***************************************** French Neace French Neace, 76, of Hazard, died Friday, March 25 at the Hazard ARH medical center. He was the son of the late Alex Neace and the late Ebbie Noble Neace. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Monroe Neace; daughter Edith Neace; sons James, Benny, David, Kenneth and Clifford Neace; sisters Carrie Francis, Gracie Jones, Irene Noble and Deama Drough; and brothers Tolbert and Anderson Noble. He is survived by his wife, Mary Neace; daughters Debbie Combs and husband Estill, Jr., Frankie Lynn Tapio and husband Donald and Norma Bowlan and husband Cecil; sons Harold Dean Neace and wife Lorene; sister Opsie Gwin; and nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Arrangements were handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel of Hazard where the family received friends on Sunday, March 27. Services were held on Monday, March 28 with Darrell and Duane Allen officiating. Interment was at Combs Neace Cemetery in Grapevine. ****************************************** Bessie Jones Bessie Jones, 77, died Saturday, March 26 at her home in Hazard. She was the daughter of the late Granville Fugate and the late Vina Miller Fugate. She was also preceded in death by her son, Nelson Jones; daughter Patricia Ann Jones and brother James Fugate. She is survived by her husband, Paul Jones; daughters Pamela Eversole and husband Virgil and Paula Gay and husband Roy; sons Alvin Lee Jones; brother Z.H. Fugate; grandchildren Jessica Brewer, Alvin Jones, Sarah Bowen, Roy Gay and Stacy Bowen; and great-grandchildren Casey Brewer, Khloe Feltner and Caden Brewer. Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel of Hazard where the family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29. Services will immediately follow with Bill Gambill officiating. Interment will be at Jones Cemetery in Lost Creek. ****************************************** John Napier John Napier, 90, of Chavies, passed away Sunday, March 27 at the Hazard ARH medical center. He was a member of New Mt. Zion Baptist Church and the son of the late Samuel Napier and the late Jane Napier. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice Campbell Napier, along with four sisters and three brothers. He is survived by daughters Verniece Mullins and husband Rodney and Janie Carol Turner and husband Robert; sons E.R. Napier and wife Ann and Sherman Napier and wife Ruthene. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel of Hazard where the family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 30 with Brian Turner officiating. Interment will be at Spring Point Cemetery at Ten Mile. ******************************************* Robert B. Calitri Robert B. Calitri, 64, of Venice, Fl., died at his home on Tuesday, March 22. He was born in Hazard on December 21, 1946, and moved to the Venice area two years ago from Ashland, Kentucky. During the Vietnam War, Robert served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for Ashland Incorporated in the Valvoline Division as a lab technician before he retired. Robert was a Kentucky Wildcat fanatic and enjoyed watching all their games on television. He is survived by his wife, Leigh, of Venice; sister Ernestine Brashear of Berea; and brothers Donald of Richmond, Michael of Corbin, and Charles of Lexington. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Pauline Calitri. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
