Born in Hazard, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Chaney and the late Mae Hensley Chaney. She lived in Hazard at the time of her death, residing at Turner Avenue. She was also preceded in death by brothers Palice, James, Jr., Bo and John, and sisters Jacqueline Chaney and Helen Gayheart. She is survived by sons James Edward Rambow and wife Cinda of Catlett, Va., Robert Mitchell Rambow of Catlett and Charles Henry Rambow of Hazard; daughter Teresa Louise Heaps and husband Charles of Eldersburg, Maryland; brother Tony Chaney of Hazard; sisters Sally Benton of Hazard and Lillian "Sweetpea" Sizemore of Hazard; grandchildren Spencer, James, Carolyn, David and Logan, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 3 at 1 p.m. at the Engle-Walker Funeral Home of Hazard with Merill David Collins officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. ******************************************* Patsy Jo Hanks Patsy Jo Hanks, 79, of Hazard, died Sunday, February 27 at Hazard Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was the daughter of the late Cassell Miller and the late Belle Cornett Miller. She is survived by her husband, Walter "Cotton" Hanks; son Walter Michael Hanks; brother Darold Dean "Sonny" Miller and wife Sue; sister-in-law Irene Hollon along with a host of family and friends. Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel of Hazard where the family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2. Services will be held at Smithsboro Baptist Church at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 3 with Cecil Morgan and Glenn Noe officiating. Interment will be at Englewood Cemetery in Christopher. ******************************************* Buell Fields Buell Fields, 89, of Hazard, died Monday, February 28 at the Hazard ARH medical center. He was a retied coal miner and the son of the late Fulton Fields and the late Georgia Baker Fields. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Opal Richardson Fields; daughter Esther Morton; sisters Viola Oliver and Loeta Walls and brothers Buford, Sewall and Bruce Fields. He is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Everidge; sons Keith Fields and wife Lorene and Edward Fields and wife Kathleen, along with nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel of Hazard where the family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, March 3. Interment will be at Mountain View Memorial Gardens in Hazard. ******************************************** Ruth Combs Ruth Combs, 85, died Friday, February 25 at the Hazard ARH medical center. She was born in Combs, the daughter of the late Emmanuel Combs and the late Mollie Napier Combs. She was also preceded in death by brothers E.M. Combs, Jr., Paul Combs and Don Combs and sisters Thelma Combs and Dorothy Gute. She is survived by her sisters, Ann Combs Eversole of Hazard and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, February 27 at the Engle-Walker Funeral Home of Hazard with Rev. Daryl Cornett officiating. Interment followed in the Combs Cemetery in Combs. ******************************************** Rose Lee Akers Rose Lee Akers, 83, passed away on Thursday, February 24 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Medical Center in Somerset. Born in Combs, she was the daughter of the late Wilson Lewis and the late Ollie Mae Johnson Lewis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dillard Akers; son Walter Akers; brother Claude Lewis and sisters Opha Combs and Linda Gowan. She is survived by sons Sammy Akers and wife Patty of Somerset, Larry Akers and wife Tina Louise of Pine Knot and Edward Akers of Somerset; daughter Brenda Lee Dickheart and husband Dave of Fort Pierce, Fla., brother Bernard Lewis and wife Opal of London; sisters Nola Brock of Big Willard, Flo Akers and husband Willard of London and Bessie Shepherd of Happy. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren a a host of family and friends. She was a member of the Hickory Gap Pentecostal Church and the daughter of the late Elige Sizemore and the late Millie Neace Sizemore. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Pearl Campbell, Sr.; daughter Betty Campbell; son Billy Ray Campbell and daughter-in-law Sharon Campbell. She is survived by daughters Gracie Helen Mitchell and Sally Lois Fugate; sons Pearl Campbell, Jr., Eugene Campbell and Tommy Campbell; sisters Dora Baker and Chlory Campbell; brothers Henry Sizemore, Elige Sizemore, Jr., Mitchell Sizemore, Charlie Sizemore, Harrison Sizemore and Jessie Leroy Sizemore; 23 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Erma Dean Bennett; sons Lester Lee Collins, Johnny Ray Collins, Larry Wayne Collins, JC Collins and Billy J. Collins; 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
